know wat? everytime i speak up in upcell, my heart races, palms get sweaty, i start speaking faster den usual... am i just nervous to say my piece? hmmm but den, when we're doing coporate prayer, i also feel the same, especially when the Holy Spirit takes over in prayer, & what i say no longer comes from me, but is from the Lord...

anywae, that's just a random thought.. but tonight's upcell was a pretty serious one, many issues were brought up, & the most importantly, the public apology that the committee's gonna do on A-Nite.. i actually think its a really good idea to do that.. i mean, its not that the present committee has done anything really wrong that requires them to do so. but, if not them, den who will start? ever heard the saying:"the sins of the father upon the child"? i feel quite strongly that its the sins of the previous generations of leaders that have led OCF to become the way it is.. & by doing this apology, perhaps it will help the younger ones change their view about OCF's mentality, vision, identity.. cuz we seriously need to pull up our socks & change our ways. the 4 yrs i have spent in OCF have moulded me no doubt & changed me in positive ways.. but looking at the current state of the younger ones in OCF, it really disheartens me that the true vision & goal of OCF seems to be drawing so far away... hopefully by wiping the slate clean, things will start afresh next year, & OCFers will begin once again to take identity in being a Christ-centered club, & no longer keep thinking of it as a social setting.. friendships are there to be made, but more importantly, OCF is about our relationship with God, and strengthening & growing in that relationship...

sigh, which leads me to think of my leaving at the end of the yr.. tis pretty sad that i will no longer be here to see how God will work in the new committee.. oh well, but 4 yrs is really quite long as it is, & its time for changes ya? hmm maybe i will join Sydney OCF hehehe.. & make a difference there! =D
