The end of a huge milestone
just got home frm a heart wrenching, teary eyed, saddening evening at ocf... Returnee's night.. sigh.. 4 yrs ago, i never thot of the day i too would be a returnee.. gosh.. how quick my time has come.. sigh.. how true when they say ocf is a place to make friends.. & i hve to admit that most of my close frens were made in OCF.. ermm.. aside from the trinity frens la.. i tink after trinity, i wouldn't hve gone back to ocf if not for lindsey's persistence & the comfortable feeling i felt in cg... sigh.. 4 yrs in ocf, 4 yrs of walking closely wif God.. so much has changed since i came to melb man.. & i'm so glad i did make the move to get out of the comfy Sg house, to come here & 'battle it out'.. thou, its NOT at all easy to 'make it' in Melb uni, with so many smart alecks around.. sigh.. but still, i'm glad God has moulded me into a more daring person, & more sociable person.. i'm SO going to miss things around here man.. & the pple too! thou i must admit, going to ocf week after week can sometimes feel quite mundane & tiring.. but when i don't go, its as if i've done smtg weird, or wrong, or just so out of place.. like not normal liddat... i've become so used to fri=ocf idea, how am i gonna spend my fri nights in sydney? sigh.. sigh.. sigh..
for now, sydney=fear=uncertainty=new experiences=new friendships=hardship=start frm scratch=nerd life=hillsong!=greater reliance on God...
anywae, here's some pics of tonite's events:
1. The Returnees sang a song together called "Find Us Faithful".. which had really meaningful lyrics..
2. Lou, Me & Wingyan..
3. CG group shot- thanks pple for coming!
4. the girls.. with a 'trying to be un-obvious Nelson' in the background.. =p
sigh, that's the end of the memorial night.. parting is such sweet sorrow indeed.. =/
