had an official goodbye dinner for Chad last nite at Grandma K.. feeling a little nostalgic now as one by one our friends leave Melb to embark on their careers.. but i suppose the time will come soon when others will be in my shoes now, saying our goodbyes to pple who have made lasting impressions on our lives.. perhaps the right word to use isn't the english word goodbye but the chinese word Zai Jian- which means smtg like 'till we meet again'. using zai jian as a farewell word seems so much more promising, for its not as if this is forever goodbye.. we'll still see each other during the hols, there will always be time to catch up in the future. & even if we indeed never get to speak or see each other again, there will always be Heaven where we can share in God's glory & enjoy the place that He has prepared for us. * ok, now i sound really pessimistic*
