Me outside the Mutiara Hotel in Libo.. Libo essentially is a really small place.. i wouldn't call it a town cuz its really more like a village size.. the hotel is the newest & tallest thing there.. everything else is zinc-roofed & low-lying houses. This hotel is actually newly bulit but well.. unfortunately on our 2nd night, the heavy rain swept in a whole swarm of migratory flying termites! super scary man! the whole corridor was full of them flying around or stuck to the wall, or some that have lost their wings (which drop off really easily) were crawling about on the ground.. the hotel pple turned off all the lights cuz they're attracted to light.. so the whole place was dark & that just added to the scariness.. =/ can't help it that i have a flying insect phobia la.. sigh.. but thank God by the next morn they were gone.. those that were alive prob flew away, but those that were actually dead (by me, or by the others, or just well.. by themselves..) were nowhere to be found also cuz well.. the ants actually carry their carcasses away! (gross rite!)
