A Relatively Quiet Day...

Spent today in solitude with God.. was pretty good to cut out distractions & just sit with Him to let Him speak to me..

initially my day was supposed to be a shopping day with louise at smith st., but she couldn't go cuz her sis was here.. so i ended up with the prospect of having to go alone.. hmm but at the tram stop outside crown while waiting for the tram to go to the city, i decided to go to st kilda beach to have stroll instead, just to clear my mind of stuff & to spend time with God out of the hustle & bustle of sch & city..

So i got onto the tram, headed off to the beach, & it was just such a beautiful day today, not too cold not too hot.. just nice, esp at the beach, it was a really glorious day, sitting there just looking into the horizon & praying & just simply chatting with the Father just like i would a friend. i'm so glad to have this constant companion by my side.. He knows all my secrets & my worries, but unlike human friends, He never judges..& i know no matter what happens He's there as my Rock & Shield, my Fortress & my Refuge..

after sitting for abt 20-30mins, i decided to walk along Acland St, where the shops are, & also went to the Birkenstock shop.. Spotted a nice pair of Birks that i was really tempted to get.. but the shop owner was so horrible & so rude to me & super condescending that i dint want to stay for long in the shop. though i was wearing my orange Birks, he seemed to think that i couldn't afford to buy another pair!? argh.. so i left the shop pretty irritated, that was my day-spoiler.. =(

after the beach, i went to the city for some shopping haa.. ya in the end i did shop around.. dint get much thou, just some jeans cuz i'm really in need of new ones.. den went supermarket & came home..

all in all i think its not too bad a day.. yearn for more of such simple days that i can spend with the Lord. =) might do it again sometime this week if i can squeeze out the time... perhaps at nite i'll go for another prayer walk?
